On September 5th I'm start a new block of 8-week yoga & mindfulness classes in Malahide on Friday mornings. Based on based on the MBSR program (mindfulness based stress reduction course), this course will help you establish a regular practice through different practices each week, explore what suits you and what doesn't, and learning how to integrate it into your daily life.
Whether you've done MBSR before or not, it doesn't matter. This is about establishing a regular practice similar to what is familiar with weekly Yoga classes. We're creating an environment to drop back into the present moment, moving through a flow of mindful yoga, and training the mind to pay attention as best as it can.
The commitment is two hours each Friday morning at the beautiful Hidden Acres setting in Malahide Co. Dublin. Here we get to practice in a beautifully restored barn overlooking the farmland, with uninterrupted views as far as the Dublin mountains on a clear day. Even when it's raining we're cozy inside, watching through a full wall of glass, with the glorious heat of the wood fire burner.
Too often we're 'sleep-walking' through our days, on automatic pilot, wondering where time is going, and wanting things to be different.
I'm really passionate about this offering, because this was me too. Wishing time away until holidays, the weekend, or even just the end of the day to have a glass of wine (or whatever you needed to feel relaxed).
Since I went back to college 5 years ago to study mindfulness, I've dedicated my new career to coaching, connection, and community. I work with individuals directly, in-person or online, with groups indoors and outdoors, and more recently in a university setting for those who lead others through teaching, caring, and mentoring.
I'd love to have you join me for this upcoming 8-week course for busy women. And GENTS, please don't feel left out -- let me know if you're interested as I will be scheduling my next course for men and women once this September course is underway. Although teaching time is from 10am-12pm, arrival is from 9.45am, and with a relaxed departure to allow for questions from 12-12.30pm.
