Welcome to the September edition of my newsletter!

I quite like this time of year, despite the fact that I love the summer days, but I do enjoy the changing of the seasons... Noticing the changing colours of nature, wrapping up warm... although I do greatly appreciate the surprise of a few warm days!!

This summer I was lucky enough to bring my classes outdoors on behalf of Fingal Sports and Sports Ireland. Each week on Wednesday and Saturday in Malahide and Balbriggan I hosted a Parkfit Yoga class for free to the public. If you joined me, I hope you found it beneficial in establishing your own practice (motion is lotion!), connecting with others in the community, or just being outdoors!

I'm not going to lie, I was nervous before I started as I'd never taught outdoors in such open spaces before, but wow, I absolutely LOVED it. The beauty of the public spaces available, getting to connect with people who perhaps thought they'd never go to a yoga class, being able to sit in nature even among the busyness of life, and instilling a practice of stillness no matter where you are.

As we move towards colder and shorter days, perhaps worse weather, how do we continue to connect to our inner creative soul needs?

  • Can you get outside for a little time each day regardless of the weather?
  • Think about surrounding yourself with your favourite colours (clothes, a mug, a picture, screenshot on a device)?
  • What about getting up earlier to make the most of the daylight?
  • Are you having protein with each meal?
  • How would it be to drink less alcohol or caffeine, and perhaps more herbal teas or water?

Or maybe you have a completely different idea on what would be helpful to you. Can you take a little time to think about what your list look like? Does anything come to mind? It doesn't need to be a big or costly change. It may be a shift in your routine, asking someone for help, or taking some quiet time for yourself. .

Make a little space today if it feels right to start to consider what you need for the coming months.

Public Classes Resume Sept 9th & 11th:

  • Monday Evening: Restorative Yoga - come and practice stillness, some silence, and long restful asanas in a fully supported setting online from home. You can set up the environment however works for you, and as I close the practice, either stay where you are in deep rest, or transition to another part of the evening. This practice is extremely supportive of the nervous system bringing balance to the Go vs Rest parts of the system.

  • Wednesday Evening: Hatha Yoga - a more flow based class, different every time, using body weight for resistance, and sometimes bringing in bands if it's appropriate. Build up strength, increase flexibility and mobility, connecting mind, body and breath to align and practice presence through challenging yet mindful movement.

Group Classes & Workshops:

If you or your company / organisation are interested in scheduling a bespoke wellness class or workshop please get in touch to discuss your needs. Existing and previous clients include Corporate, Charities, Community Based Groups, and Voluntary Organisations.

Individual Systemic Coaching:

As an International Coaching Federation Systemic Coach, I only work with a small number of individuals at any one time while you navigate change and work towards your goals.

Payment Plans - Changes by Dec 31st 2024

Monthly Membership

From January 2025 the monthly membership will be moving to Online availability only. This €50 per month will give you:

  • Full access to the Members Page online with guiding tips on self-care each month
  • Full access to the Monday evening Restorative Yoga class online
  • Full access to the Wednesday evening Hatha Yoga class online

Class Packages

Class packages (passes) for in-person bookings will be retired at the end of December when I will instead be scheduling 6-week courses for a min 6 max 8 participants per course. This allows me to manage the extra costs that are incurred for in-person events. *Memberships & packages will continue to be able to join online and will register for the zoom link through the normal channels.

Drop-in

These will still be available if a place is free in-person from week to week but is not guaranteed as it depends on whether a course is full or not. Drop-in will be available for Online offerings.
