Today I'm inspired to write about nature, inspiration, and connection.

Over the past 6 months I've been working with some incredible clients through Systemic Coaching and I continue to be inspired daily. We have conversations on finding joy, contentment, connection with others, in the life currently being led, and perhaps imagining the life wanting to be led.

Is there any among us who do not resonate with this? I know for sure I recognise this within myself.

How many times have you wanted things so desperately to be different. Have you felt on the verge of tears for much of every day, wanting to solve the pain of others? Wanting so badly to change, fix, or manage a situation that is not in your ability to change?

How would it be to consider that perhaps there is no problem per se to be fixed.

Perhaps... It simply is what it is... Whatever it is.

I came to really appreciate this when I studied in UCD under the expert Directorship of Dr. Paul D'alton and Professor Louise McHugh, among many other amazing tutors & lecturers (too many to mention and I don't want to leave anyone out). One of the Mindfulness Based Interventions course reference books was Full Catastrophe Living by Jon Kabat-Zinn. The title says it all really -- that simply being alive can be full of catastrophes. Things happen that we have no control over. Change, Loss, Grief are a part of the human experience. Can we consider a way to live alongside them and also invite Joy, Happiness, Contentment in too?

There is no time stamp on how long we’re affected by these events either. When there is trauma, loss, grief... the impact of these do not end. The invitation is to perhaps consider growing a new garden of experiences around it…

I've heard a saying that life grows around grief -- that it’s life events that expand and increase but the grief stays the same. I find this makes sense to me. Perhaps this resonates for you too... or not. Again, that's ok, however it might be, is how it is. 🙏
